Nice and Brighton
A Commuter's Journal

This afternoon I will take you to the edge of the Chateau, because of some very nice little streets, alleys more like, called Rue du Malonat, Ruelle Malonat and Rue de l'ancien Sénat.

Oops! I see I left my car there. No cars allowed in these streets!

This is Ruelle Malonat and you can see why; it's not really a street.

If you're coming here early in the morning, or even at night, please try to be quiet. There are actually people living here.

So beautiful, these colors. I can't wait to make pictures with the light of summer! (These pictures were taken in December 2005.)
Time stood still here, and that's a good thing.

This is the Rue de l'ancien Sénat.

If you're disabled and you live here, you're in deep shit, especially when you're drunk.

I wonder what life was like here some hundred years ago...

Same spot from a different angle.

Vieux Nice is so Italian! I love it!
