Hello,
I'm not sure if this will reach Ian or the webmaster(the last one I wanted to join), but I just had a little error to let you know about 4th Ferry pool Blenheim IV L9318 that did crash on 18 June 1940, but on a beach of Crozon (Finistère), south west of Brest, and not on Crozon-sur-Vauvre.
Best regards.
Congratulations for this site !

I am Chairman of an Old School Association. WE have just obtained
a copy of the Roll of Honour listing 58 Old Boys who died in WW2.
Commonwealth War Graves site has provided details of Service,
Rank, number where buried or commemorated, and in some cases
Units.
I am seeking information about Sgt (AG) 938396 Douglas Rawlings RAFVR who sewrved with 9 Sqdn. He died 9 July 1941 and is interred at Rheinberg Cemetery, so was presumably shot down on a raid. Your site shows that the sqdn were flying Wellingtons until 42, but losses after 1940 are not shown. Any info would be appreciated.
Yours,
Brian

In May or June 1940 in the neighborhood of the dutch town Zeist a
lone Blenheim bomber flew westbound. Several German fighters were
trying to shoot it down, while the Blenheim was trying to fly
from cloud to cloud to avoid the Germans.
The Blenheim shot down one German fighter, its pilot killed. Then the Blenheim, on fire made a slow unaltered dive till it hit the ground. One chute was seen. This was the story my father told me years ago. I'am trying to find more information. Anyone? Please email Peter. Thank you.

I am looking for information regarding Hugh (or Hughy) Wallace, a
South African pilot who was seconded to the RAF. His spitfire
crashlanded in a marsh during WW2 and he was thought to have
disappeared but his plane with body was ejected from the marsh 14
years after the crash. I have no info about where he is buried
and where the accident happened. I am interested because he was
the first husband of my South African aunt, who has passed away.
