Tomorrow they'll be in Paris, Amsterdam, or New York, but today they are in Nice.
Holiday on ice. The skaters aren't very skillfull, but for most of them it's the first time. For some of them also the last.

I used to live here in Nice with my girl friend, a Dutch baroness, off and on, from 1976 to 1984. This photo was taken in 1986. Visiting regularly throughout the years, I moved back to Nice in 2007.

Prince Valerian Obolensky (1951) is living in Amsterdam, Paris, and Nice. He is the author of the book Russians in Exile - The History Of A Diaspora. After the cold war Prince Valerian Obolensky was invited by Anatoli Sobchak, mayor of St. Petersburg and Russian candidate of presidency, to come to his beautiful city. Sobchak offered the Prince, on behalf of the Russian Republic, his most sincere excuses for everything the Russian nation had done to the Russian nobility since 1917.
Recently Prince Valerian Obolensky started a new project: Russian Aristocracy Online - a genealogy website of the Russian aristocracy.
