Thanks a lot for the motivating words, Isis. Let me build the
skeleton of this construction first and then you will get plenty
of REAL GOOD music. Goran, eh, Brega is a virtuoso. Do you
know that he unabashedly uses, transposes original folk-music,
especially Gypsy but hell of a lot of Macedonian. mixes it,
imports oriental instruments - gets thrilling sounds. Yeah, you
are quite right. he elates.
You did surprise me with this comment. Take care.

just tell me, what is it about the tension between macedonians
and kosovars? i was in Skopje 25 years ago and didn't feel
differences, but what is it that you were fithing about? I just
don't understand the history and other subjects like religion
etc. give me some links please?

Sorry for this huge delay in responding Ronald, but I was out of
The Netherlands, returned before Xmas, then jaarvisseling,
Season's festive time. In a nutshell - this is expansionist story
per se. The claim that the Slavs mistreated the ethnic-Albanians
(in Serbia, in Macedonia, in Montenegro) just as much as the
Greeks did - is offered as an explanation for the low
development. That is a fable. Who governed Albanians in Albania
proper? Whether kings, communists or "transition-dedicated
reformists" during the past 15-16 years - the land remained what
it was.
There is a huge gap between ambition and possibilities, material and human resources are meagre while refusal to integrate wherever huge.
Will try to supply you with some links.

During the
darkest of the winter one would hardly pack up and roam Turkey.
Even its deepest south, right there by Alexandreta and Hatay,
although covered with lush citrus gardens in full harvest - is not
exactly warm. There are at least 20 events on the programe for the
Turkey Now Festival and one of the highlights is a jazz
concert that you can sample here:
One may be
confused with the people of the South. They are so pationate. Begin
from its West or East coast - all the same. Fiery. Promiscuous.
Volatile. Irrational. And now comes the sober Financial Times with
this interpretation about the Greek women whoring at such a grand
scale. You might be interested

This is a
worksite where an exhaustive collection of pictures-cum-comment
posts pile up and will one nice day form a maze of memories I like
visiting and re-visiting. They, the posts, will allow the visitor
to add, correct, renege or comment in one decent way the entries.
Eventually, people and places may be enlightened by fresh opinion
and be a source for biographers and historians. Ambitious, eh? Thus
Some of you

Just begun developing that site. A bit early for promoting it, but
that is how I tick.
